Why Wedding Music Bands Make the Big Day Go With a Bang

Bands, Festivals and Concerts 5

That special day in your life should be memorable. Getting married to the one person that will make you happy and together you will bring prosperity and joy to everyone around you. One of the very best ways to make a day that no one will forget is to have a live music band.

But not just any music band will do because that takes a lot of planning. There are plenty of wedding music bands that play all kinds of music. You need to take note on what type of music that both you and your mate like.

Also think of the guests that have been invited to your wedding reception and what type of music they also like. This is a very important task to be aware of because you certainly don’t music that is not enjoyable to you or your guests.

Some people try to emulate music through disc jockeys playing records but that’s a far cry from what live wedding bands can do to the atmosphere. Live wedding bands add spontaneity and can actually change the mood of the party by the music they play.

You want this once in a lifetime experience to be just that. You want everyone to enjoy the time at the reception and you want also to enjoy it as well. Selecting the genre of the music is so important for a successful reception that it takes a lot of planning.

But once the plans are laid down, and the type of music that will be played decided you are going to be in for a treat. Having a well laid reception with music that is compatible with most people doesn’t happen by itself. Planning is very important and needs time to insure the most appropriate music will be played.

Live bands can add so much flavour and entertainment value for a reception that it’s well worth the effort going the distance in this type of venue. Making yourself happy and your guests happy on this special should be one of the highlights of your life.

When selecting the music band that you intend to hire make sure that you listen to their music. Try and find out where they are playing next and see if you like what you hear. They could even have some pre-recorded music that you would be able to listen too. Doing your homework before committing to a music band will pay off handsomely when the time comes.

Making the effort to do the best you can to insure that the music being played will be happy and memorable will make the day go out with a bang.

Enjoy your wedding reception with a fabulous music band.

Wedding Reception Music – Band Vs DJ

Wedding Reception Music – Band Vs DJ

buffet

There are two main types of entertainers available for your wedding reception. These include those offering some form of live entertainment, such as a band that plays either its own songs, covers of popular music or more classical offerings, and disc jockeys who should be able to play a fantastic mix of tunes that fit together in a way that gets the party started, keeps it going and then allows it to wind down towards the end of the night.

Both options can either be great and memorable or somewhat dire. Here are a few of the differences between the two that will hopefully aid you in making your final decision.

A band is often regarded as the more traditional choice for a wedding reception and as a consequence may be more popular among the older members of your guest list. This is particularly true of a band that limits their repertoire to older contemporary tunes or pieces that are considered to be of a classical genre. This is not always the case however and it is important to remember that a group of musicians who can pull songs from a library of both timeless classics and newer songs can be a hit at any wedding. This is especially true if they perform with a great deal of enthusiasm, and a lot will rest on the band leader to get your crowd going.

A DJ on the other is often regarded as a more hip and modern alternative to live performers. Again, a lot depends on the individual as a person who only plays older, less popular tunes will more often than not be less popular than one who plays the latest chart singles. With this option you can often be hit and miss and it is important to research any potential candidates well beforehand, ideally by seeing them do a DJ set live.

One benefit of a DJ is that he or she won’t need a rest after every few songs he plays as may be the case with musicians. As a result there won’t be any major breaks in your wedding reception unless you want them. A DJ will also often be less costly than musicians although this is not always the case and you may need to shop around to get the best person for your money. With this said there is a certain atmosphere that live music creates that cannot be replaced by someone playing recorded tracks. The option of musicians can really add a whole new level to your wedding reception and is ultimately something that you may want to look into.
